Designed to be a monumental step forward in transit-oriented design, Upland Park is a 47-acre development being built from the ground up to be a fully integrated community connected to the Dolphin rapid transit station. Part of Miami-Dade County SMART Plan, this groundbreaking lifestyle evolution is being made possible through concepts such as transit-supportive land uses, mobility alternatives, and ample open spaces for holistic live, work, and play environments.

One focus of Upland Park is to provide workforce housing for Miami’s ever-growing population with a multifamily element that includes more than 1,700 new mid-rise and garden-style apartments. The first phase of the development will deliver 441 garden apartments and 350 multifamily units. The area’s growing demand for new, up-to-date commercial and retail is being addressed with 140,000 total square feet of retail, of which 35,000 will debut as part of phase 1 construction. Other facets of the overall development include a hotel, an office building, a school, the life sciences center, and 800+ parking spaces for residents, retail patrons, and transit riders. The future economic impact from rental revenue and real estate taxes for the project are estimated at more than $4.1 billion for the life of the 97-year lease of county land.
