I agree with most of you about how terrific this project is going to be. Now that SB is involved it has a very good chance of moving forward in early 2019. We need to be very cognizant however of the clouds beginning to form in the horizon regarding the overall economy. I hope the City of Chicago works with the developers in pushing the legalities through and cutting through all the red tape. My guess (and only a guess) is that we have about 6-12 months left before the economic shoe drops.
One other thing that would help is whoever becomes the next mayor I hope is pro business and development. Mayor Emanuel was a strong proponent of the downtown and the businesses that drive the metro economy.
So here is my wish list......Strong economy till at least 2020 and a Strong pro business mayor in the future! Let's bring in Kellogg Companies next from Battle Creek Mayor Rahm Emanuel before you leave...lol.
