first time I've seen the rising grand ave proj from the east, from along 1st St. It took over 40 yrs to replace a supposedly temporary parking structure...almost hard to believe that gap on bunker hill is finally being filled in.

Tall skinny palm trees aren't native to LA, yet I've never seen so many of that type of palm anywhere else in the world....but I'm sure they exist.

I've seen some really impressive group of urban murals in other cities...recall photos of some very good ones in a thread on atlanta here awhile ago...so they (or things like food) don't say 'LA' as much as things like skinny palm trees do.

always like seeing images that are the essence of a community....took a lot of work to post all the pics in your thread.
