By: NY1 News
Government officials say a Continental Airlines flight originating at Newark Liberty Airport was diverted mid-flight because the name of one of the passengers was a false match with somebody on the terror watch list.
After Flight 881 landed in Jacksonville, Fla., a law enforcement officials said the passenger was not a match to the no-fly list.
The passenger was cleared by the FBI and the flight continued on to Bogota, Colombia, its final destination.
Airlines are not supposed to issue a boarding pass to a person on the no-fly list.
