Despite over 25 years after the handover, Hong Kong has seen an outpouring of tributes at the British Consulate-General, with a sea of flowers just outside along with a long queue to head inside to sign the book of condolences.

Locally referred to as the "boss lady", Queen Elizabeth II visited twice during her reign in May 1975 and October 1986.
