Although I would love to go to the top, there's really no reason. 1 Vanderbilt is in front of it. Top of the Rock is behind it. When/if Tower Fifth gets built the entire top would be an observation deck quite a bit taller than this one.
These next 2 aren't necessarily observation decks themselves but close enough.
350 Park plans for a bar/restaurant at its top. 175 Park will have hotel rooms you can book.
What would be better is if a 57th Street supertall gets built with an observation deck, those views of Central Park would be great.

A public observation deck was in fact considered for the Central Park Tower before being decided against.
