Yeah the drop off in density from Spruce to Pine going south and Arch to Cherry going North is pretty crazy. Although the South side seems the craziest to me. You can go from 20 story buildings to 30-40 foot row homes. Seems like from a strategic standpoint expanding North is the way to go. Things definitely need to push north, but I don't see any problem with pushing south (in a one block radius from Broad) as far as Washington Ave. --certainly South Street at the very least.
