500 ALTON SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW, WOULD MATCH CITY’S TALLEST TOWER

Crescent Heights has submitted plans for the 500 Alton tower for city review.
If approved, it would essentially match the height of the tallest towers in the city, with a roof height of 557 feet above ground. The Blue and Green Diamonds are by far the tallest in the city at 559 feet.
In addition to the tower, a public park is planned, which will include a two-story retail building.
Two surface parking lots with 104 spaces are planned in the park, including one with 78 spaces for The Floridian condo building.
The project will include:
337 residential units, averaging 1,282 square feet
49,360 square feet of amenties
7,120 square feet of retail in the park
7,880 square feet of restaurant, split between the condo and in the park
681 parking spaces, with 577 in the tower itself and the remaining 104 in surface lots
Arquitectonica is the architect.
The Miami Beach Planning Board is scheduled to review the proposal on April 30.
