Yeah, I think this needs to be a midrise at least. Surprising we haven't seen any whispers of development here when literally every other empty lot in a 1/4 mile radius has been developed or there are plans.
IDOT is also planning to rebuild the Fulton Market bridge over the Kennedy in the next few years, so hopefully they take the opportunity to put in wider sidewalks, maybe some decorative stuff. I'd love to see
tree planters but I doubt IDOT would allow it on the bridge deck. The bridges they rebuilt for Jane Addams (Harrison, Halsted, Van Buren, Peoria, Racine, Jackson, Adams) were such a missed opportunity.
