I tuned into some of the meetings for this project and the narrow design was pitched to the NIMBYs as a selling point that preserved views for southern-facing condos at 659 W. Randolph.
So if anything the NIMBYs are getting a raw deal now because the revised tower is much chubbier. They were also bitching about not enough parking and that's been further cut down too....
