This park was supposed to happen and this is a shame. What a loss for the city of NYC.
Why did they stop it? Was it for environmental reasons or was it because a vindictive little developer wanted to get back at another developer? Sounds like a school yard fued.
I can't imagine putting another pier in the water is going to really be that harmful to a species, but it is what it is.
