I'm curious - but skeptical - about this.
They really cut out 2 historic, beautiful links in an inspiring architectural chain.
There's a chance the replacement links in that chain work well; and RAMS is the person to do it.
There's also a chance yet another uptown theological institution (cough - Cathedral of St John the Divine - cough) has prostituted itself and pillaged one more of the limited number of truly place-making architectural ensembles uptown.
Will be very interesting to see how this one turns out.
