The Los Angeles City Council has voted to approve plans from Vancouver-based developer Onni Group to construct a high-rise apartment building at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Hill Street.

The project, which would replace a surface parking lot, calls for the construction of a 60-story building featuring 700 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments atop a podium featuring 1,075 parking spaces and 15,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

The proposed development, designed by Chris Dikeakos Architects, would stand 760 feet in height. Renderings depict a contemporary glass-clad tower, with a podium capped by a landscaped amenity deck and wrapped by habitable spaces.
