For the parkade, I was actually thinking, since there's so many of them here, why can't they make it mixed use? Like first two floors could be retail / business. This is an example from Manila.
I think it was also a car park before, but I'm not so sure since it's been a while since I have been there. I thought they did an amazing job by renovating it and making it more modern and glassy. At night, the glass is illuminated and changes colours.
Some people might oppose this kind of style and would think it would be too gaudy or does not fit into the architecture of Hudson's Bay. Well, it doesn't have to be like this. I just think adding something at the street level / facade of our existing parkades would help liven our downtown.
