VS Industry posts healthy Q2 earnings on higher sales orders in Malaysia, Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: VS Industry Bhd (VIB) reported a net profit of RM63.8 million and RM999.3 million revenue for the second quarter (Q2) ended 31 January 2021 (FY21).
The revenue and net profit jumped 21.8 per cent and 92.2 per cent from RM820.3 million and RM33.2 million respectively a year ago.
The double-digit improvement in top and bottom-line was largely attributed to higher sales orders received from the company's key customers in Malaysia and Indonesia.
The company recorded its highest ever first-half net profit which surpassed RM130 million mark for the first time.
