That big vacant lot between 16th and 18th near Peoria in Pilsen that was blocked by Danny Solis in 2016 over a lack of affordable units has a zoning application up today. It calls for 434 units, 360 park spaces, and 35,624 sq ft of commercial space. Application says it abides by ARO. In total 8 new buildings of varying heights but the tallest one would be 79 feet tall.

There is this proposal plus another at 864 N Orleans today next to Big & Little's as well as a 20+ story hotel proposal for Chicago Ave nearby. If you think about it, it's not a bad location as it's close-ish walk to both the brown and red lines and within walking distance of a lot. I think the new Atrium Village high rises help make the immediate area a little less shady too.
