The Governor said he considers quantum initiatives to be so important to the economic future of the state that he is committing $200 million to the project. $100 million for UIC, the state's flagship university and $100 million to UChicago, the state's leading private school and quantum powerhouse.

He wants to create a Quantum Silicon Valley in Illinois.
