Chicago-based ShipBob raised $68 million to expand its fulfillment operations. The company has seen significant growth due to the surge in online shopping. The company currently has about 150 employees at its Chicago headquarters. Source.

Ford Motor Company has opened a materials handling facility on Chicago’s Southeast Side. The project will include four other buildings within a 2.3 million-square-foot project called Commerce Park Chicago, which is expected to create as many as 1,400 jobs.
