Austin either THE LEADER or among the leaders in the US for GDP growth, total personal income growth, population growth, job growth, airport traffic growth, office space construction, apartment construction, single family home construction, foreign investment, etc. It’s one of the top 10 cities in the world for semi-conductors, video game development, digital animation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, programming, software development, tech hardware manufacturing, and in the top 15 for VC funding into startups in the world. Has one of the best universities in the world and is one of the most educated cities in the world. Has one of the youngest populations in the US. Has a renown music and art scene and a vaunted food scene. Only place in the US for F1 and MotoGP and is now attracting pro sports in MLS and soon will attract the attention of MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, etc the bigger and richer the metro area becomes. And now it’s attracting billionaires at a breakneck speed.
