The steel frame is really the only notable thing. It just screams Chicago, since the load-bearing steel frame is a Chicago innovation.
The infill panels have changed so much over the years there's nothing to preserve. The renovation plans will restore it to the 1935 appearance (roughly speaking) but they could put in something
totally new and I wouldn't care if the steel was still visible. The open feeling is important, though.
