From living at R+D 659, which also has a pool deck overlooking the kennedy trench, I can tell you it's not an issue at all. The expressway noise just becomes background, like a waterfall, and that pool deck was always crowded on sunny weekend days. The big problem was lack of late afternoon sun due to the design of the tower, so it was definitely a morning pool.
