A parking garage is proposed to include 389 spaces, with up to 421 spaces possible if mechanical lifts are used. Zoning code requires 616 spaces for a project of this size, and the developer is asking for a waiver.
Fifteen Group is the developer.
In 2015, the developer proposed a similar sized tower on the property with a much larger parking garage suspended above the church, described by the city as creating a negative structural and visual impact (structural columns were proposed to go through the church dome).
Cube 3’s Jonathan Cardello is the architect. Cardello was previously with architect ADD Inc., which created the 2015 design.
