The Hive Residences will bring 250 apartments and retail space to the corner of Seventh and Linden streets. This new residential community that will feature 153 studio apartments, 60 one-bedroom apartments, and 37 two-bedroom apartments spread across two buildings connected by a common courtyard and pedestrian bridge. The first phase will include 154 apartments and a pedestrian walkway that will connect to a neighboring Allentown Parking Authority garage. The second phase will be another four-story building to the north that will include another 96 apartments and a pedestrian walkway that residents will cross to the first building en route to the parking deck. Residents will have access to an enclosed courtyard in between the buildings. This second phase will also include live-work units, which allow residents to operate their business right underneath their apartment.
