The site was formerly owned by The Sutton Co. who had been working on a plan that would have had two towers, one that was stated to be a 60-story tower that would have been the tallest in Austin. Sutton worked to get the permits that would have allowed them to build up to 1.5 million square feet on the site. Sutton sold the property after the new developer approached them.
