Hausbeck Pickle Co. announces $6 million expansion, new jobs in Saginaw

SAGINAW, MI — Hausbeck Pickle Co., which has processed pickles and peppers in Saginaw for nearly a century, is growing.
The company, which processes 40 million pounds of cucumbers, 18 million pounds of banana peppers and 14 million pounds of jalapenos annually, is expanding its footprint and its workforce.
Construction of a 100,000-square-foot warehouse addition is expected to begin in late-May and wrap up by January. The project will allow Hausbeck to discontinue leasing warehouse space and is a more than $6 million investment, according to Vice President Joe Hausbeck. Spence Brothers Inc. is the general contractor.
