I think the train looks pretty boring too, I could live with a ugly livery if the train was nicer. I wish they opted a train look instead of subway. I'd like to see a top speed of beyond 90km/hr being done on the airport express.
I was recently on the EMU700 and really liked it. Minus the annoying stupid announcements of "Door open" when the door was about to open. Is a simple beep not enough?
The Taroko express is great, the push pull tzu chiangs have already deterioated are terrible, I prefer the older tzu chiangs made in Japan, most of if not all are diesel so they are a bit noisy, but at least the passenger cabins are built much better. Has anyone been on the EMU1200, the most hideous looking tzu chiang?
An interesting note, I went on the pingxi line a few weeks ago, and they use a diesel tzu chiang that they modified for it I believe.
