World's longest airside bridge ready for use at Hong Kong airport
The Standard Excerpt
Nov 1, 2022

A Sky Bridge connecting the Hong Kong International Airport's Terminal 1 and the North Satellite Concourse is now ready for use.

At 200 meters long, the Sky Bridge will be the world's longest air-side bridge. At 28 meters high, it will allow the largest passenger aircraft - the A380 - to pass underneath.

An observation deck and restaurants were set up at both ends of the bridge. The floor is partly made of glass, allowing people to see planes passing through underneath the bridge.

The brand-new bridge is also expected to offer passengers tarmac views - including the third runway at the airport.

Ricky Leung Wing-kee, executive director of engineering and technology for the Airport Authority, said it usually takes passengers 20 minutes to take shuttle buses to their planes.
