What if names like Larkin, Metlife, and Travelstead were synonymous with NYC?

Looking north towards the infamous Empire State Building and the Midtown skyline from the Metropolitan North Building Observation Deck

A look from the Metropolitan North Building Observation Deck head on north to one of the best Post Modern buildings in the city the Travelstead Building

A Pre 15 Penn Plaza look through the twin Manhattan West towers

A Pre 15 Penn Plaza look at the obelisk known at 2 Penn Plaza and Manhattan West lurking in the background

The newly added 15 Penn Plaza completes the job of belittling and demeaning the fabled Empire State Building

(From L to R) Manhattan West North, One Penn Plaza, The Empire State Building, (the newly constructed) 15 Penn Plaza, Two Penn Plaza, the Eventi, the New York Life Building, and Manhattan West South

The new One 57 absolutely dominated the southern Central Park skyline. The supertall to the right of Random House Tower with the green copper roof is the Larkin Building

Jumeirah Essex House and Hampshire House are completely dominated by the tallest concrete building in the city

An aerial view of a once bum but now rejuvenated area of the city

TOWER VERRE

The next post will be a look at the 'Greatest addition to the New York skyline in over a century..........
