Vantage Oak Park Hosts Open House

The Chicago-area community of Oak Park now has a new tallest apartment building. As Golub & Company and Wood Partners near completion on their 21-storey Vantage Oak Park project, an open house on September 20 invited potential renters inside for a look at the elegantly appointed units and amenity spaces.

Chicago's Iconic Tribune Tower Sold for Redevelopment

One of Chicago's most recognizable and historically important buildings has been sold for redevelopment. The neo-Gothic Tribune Tower, home to the titular media conglomerate and the Chicago Tribune's publishing company tronc, has proudly stood at 435 N. Michigan Avenue since 1925. To maximize the site's potential, Los Angeles-based developer CIM Group is planning to transform the building into a mixed-use destination that could include residences, office space, a hotel, and a healthy offering of retail.

Slick Design of Zurich's North American Headquarters Captured in New Photos

A batch of photographs released by Goettsch Partners shows off the sleek exterior and interiors of their newly built North American headquarters for Swiss-based Zurich Insurance Group. The state-of-the-art complex in Schaumburg, Illinois, was officially completed on September 28 with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Nearly 3,000 employees and contractors will occupy the 783,800-square-foot building, which has put communication, collaboration, and wellness at the forefront of its design.

Pelli Clarke Pelli Release New Renderings for Wolf Point

While construction has completed for the first phase of the three-tower Wolf Point development in downtown Chicago, Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects has released an updated set of renderings for what will become the second phase, known as the Wolf Point East tower, along with an even more recent set of renderings depicting what the finished product will look like upon completion.

Construction Progressing Below Grade at One Bennett Park

Over the intervening six months since our last update, construction has been progressing below grade at the site of Related Midwest's One Bennett Park, the Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed, 67-storey residential tower currently rising in the Streeterville district of downtown Chicago.

Crane Erected at Site of Centrum Residential and Office Scheme

With work barrelling towards an ambitious December 2017 delivery target, a new Chicago development by Centrum Partners has received the tower crane that will shoot the development above grade. The mixed-use scheme consists of a 23-storey rental tower with 193 dwelling units at 221 West Hubbard and an accompanying nine-storey office building containing 41,000 rentable square feet at 412 Wells Street. Due to site constraints, the tower crane will handle the important and intricate task of constructing both towers.
