WATERLOO — Thousands of students, donning green-coloured shirts, sweaters and hats, spilled onto Marshall Street at the intersection of Regina Street to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Friday.
The rain had stopped by mid afternoon and revellers gathered on the street, blocking the intersection. They also gathered on driveways, sidewalks and in front of student buildings, as well as on front porches.
Ezra Avenue, the hot spot for unsanctioned street parties in the past, was fenced off from King Street to Albert Street, blocking the street from cars and groups of people gathering....
