I’m all for some more dorms on campus and some rentals along the main commercial corridor (53rd st). But otherwise I’d prefer to see the existing building stock fulfill peoples’ housing needs.
Hyde Park and Woodlawn have some of the most beautiful housing stock in the city, IMO.
Also, I don’t know what it is about Hyde Park but almost nothing from a multiunit standpoint ever goes on sale in this hood. Too bad, because I would love to own something here.
