Thanks for refreshing my memories, as I was there back in 2007!

One thing I noticed in all my South American travels, is everything appears to be so over-built, or solidly built, even so much as a corner grocery store.

All the hotels/motels I stayed in, solid concrete walls between the rooms, and with concrete roofs, many had rooftop decks to get birds-eye views of the city, and all so inexpensive, never paid more than $25 for a room down there.
