the best of times, the worst of times: look at india with all its poverty, yet the world's tallest statue was built there 3 yrs ago. The best of times, the worst of times: more super talls in NYC than ever before, but the newer ones leave me cold....beyond whether they're full of vacant apts. Or sold apts that are never lived in....or the bldgs are a social, economic, political landmine. Plus, I think they give NYC's famous skyline a comic book or clownish look.
