Per the Hance Park Conservancy on Instagram:

We are thrilled to share some big news! In celebration of Earth Day, Republic Services, Inc. today announced a $2 million sponsorship to the City of Phoenix to help fund a one-acre sustainable garden oasis at Margaret T. Hance Park as part of the Hance Park Revitalization Project. The garden will feature native desert plants and shaded walking and seating areas and is planned to open in early 2023.

On behalf of HPC's Board of Trustees, we thank Phoenix-based Republic Services for investing in the future of their hometown's regional park.
