Speaking of Steeplechase Park, it's currently the site of MCU Park (Brooklyn Cyclones stadium). Between the stadium and the boardwalk will be the western gateway to the amusement area, Steeplechase Plaza, which will get under construction later this year. No renderings have been released, but a description with images of the site plan...

SITE AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed Steeplechase Plaza is located immediately east of the Parachute Jump Gateway and between the boardwalk and Keyspan Park Stadium on Coney Island, New York. The property is accessible from the northwest through the parking lot west of Keyspan Park Stadium and from the east through West 161st Street. The property is currently occupied by a lawn area and two fenced-in soccer fields. Current surface elevations at the site range from approximately 6.4 to 7.6 feet above mean sea level (MSL) within the area of the soccer field and between 4.6 and 7.5 feet above MSL in the lawn between the Parachute Jump and soccer field.

Based on a review of the information provided by EDAW, the proposed plaza will cover an area of approximately 2.5 acres and will include a water feature, a skate bowl and a new pavilion for the B&B carousel, which will include an observation deck and living roof.
