I disagree.....most candidates, especially in important ridings like this are running on recognition from something they have done (like Jim Carr)....having a dad who did something is a pretty weak qualification.

the reality is most people don't take the time to find out what they stand for and recognizing the actual letters spelled out on the ballot is the only thing that matters.

It's a bit different in federal because he will just be a cog in a big wheel, but it would be nice to have a candidate that has a track record to establish recognition.
