Even now, despite the atypical year of 2020, Brazil is still the world´s 8th largest economy in GDP PPP (after China, US, India, Japan, Germany, Russia, Indonesia), the third in the West in GDP PPP ( after US and Germany) and the second in the Americas ( after US only) and the largest in Latin American and Caribbean area, and the world´s fourth largest democracy and the 6th largest market economy in the world (after US, India, Japan, Germany and Indonesia).
