Agave americana (or maybe they're two different species of
Agave), a thin-stemmed cluster-flowering climbing rose which is most likely 'Dorothy Perkins', and a li'l palm tree which is likely
Chaemarops humilis. A very characteristic heterogeneous So Cal garden of the time . . .
