The numbers seem much lower this year, where are you getting your stats from? I went to see what it was at today on the Toronto Police website and it's showing 49 homicides to date not 52.

We had 85 last year and things usually cool off between now and Christmas.

Even if we are currently at 52 it's always nice to remind ourselves all of our cities are safe compared to comparably sized cities south of the border. as of this morning Chicago sits at 522 homicides!!!

Philadelphia has 422 so far, Dallas 153 and Houston is on it's way to surpass it's 473 murders from last year. While I was looking at similar sized cities San Fran has 47 at the moment, and Seattle has 48, I'm not really too shocked about that as these two cities are way more left leaning and chill then other American cities of their sizes.
