I am glad it ultimately got re-purposed.
Since the parking lot dream they have for that strip is not going to happen, hopefully GWL will allow for some development along Balmoral to the north of that house. There is still enough space there to put houses back in.

I lived in an apartment at the bend, less than 100 metres from that abandoned house for a couple of years, back in 2002-03. One evening while walking to the Village, I went and investigated, since I had no idea of the history of the home, and the fact that it was seemingly abandoned for years.
There were no signs on it, and it was not fenced off. Considering the area of it's location, I can't believe that some hooligans never torched it, or some squatter decided to break in, and make it his home.
It seemed so out of place, standing there at the corner of Mostyn and Balmoral.
