On flickr, they're trying to figure out where this photograph was taken in the late 1970s (or early 80s)
Even the photographer (Joe) doesn't remember where he was when he took it. I thought we might lend them a hand.

The car closest to the camera appears to be, if I'm not mistaken, a down-sized Oldsmobile Delta 88 coupe. Down-sized "full-size" GM cars didn't happen until 1977.
But the grainy B&W makes the image look so much older.
There was color in 1977.
Believe me.
I was there.
