I don't get the people complaining that this looks out of place. Would you have also complained about the Sears Tower when it was first proposed? How about Hancock?

All tall buildings look out of place at first.... and then they don't. This argument has less merit than the parking and view NIMBYs.

And of course it reminds you of Asian skyscrapers. Literally 90%+ of supertall skyscrapers built in the past 15 years have been in Asia. To say it looks like an Asian skyscraper is basically synonymous with saying it looks like a modern skyscraper.
