Wow, I thought this would still be in the proposal sub-forums.
However, the site is a mess of work for real.

At this stage, it seems we can reasonably claim these will actually be going up sometime soon.

Significant for totally unrelated to La Défense.
We might even see a 2nd sizable high-rise cluster developed to the southeast of Central Paris in our lifetimes, that would be quite unexpected and an enjoyable surprise to locals like myself.

We already had that bunch of residential buildings built in the 1970s over the southern 13th arrondissement, at the edge of the inner municipality.

All these are more or less 300-ft / 30-story tall.
But enraged NIMBYism has completely stopped high-rise development over there for 4 decades.
Mhm, you read that correctly. It's been some 40+ years since the last tower was erected over there.

Duo is not exactly on the same spot of that Wiki panorama at all, but not too far in the skyline either. So hopefully, it sounds the trumpet to resume skyscraper construction over this large arrondissement and over the adjacent suburban neighborhoods too.
Besides, unlike La Défense, this area's not awkwardly saturated with offices, so the main office tower is welcome right there.
