Try this for Houston:
http://www.houstontx.gov/police/cs/stats2.htm go down the page a bit. You have to add up the months. Use "20" for any month missing and you'll be close.
Last year 242 with pop of 2,219,933 = 10.9
2,722,000 Chicago
2,220,000 Houston

0,502,000
