The only reason this is moving forward is because Stephen Ross is involved. Same with the innovation center. Those two half completed buildings, along with their numerous other announced renovations of vacant buildings they've owned for decades, aren't moving forward because for one reason or another the Ilitches are incapable of doing a project on their own. The only projects they've ever completed has been the arena, Fox Theatre, Little Caesars HQ, and some parking garages.
