Now I'm trying to find a photograph of the building and hopefully one that shows the entrance so I can compare it to the cigar store cabinet card. (so far, I got nuttin')
I think that this is the building in question, although LAPL's description says: "The Insurance Building on the northeast corner of 3rd and Hill Streets. Bicycles and horses-and-buggies are parked next to the curb." There's no mention of "Conservation Life" or "Exchange". There's also no sign of the cigar stand.
