then & now, before & after....I like tracking how dtla has changed through the yrs. Because of things like crime, taxes, homelessness, rental rates, local govnt, politics in 2023, I've seen comments of how LA today is worse than it was in the past. But if LA...dtla...isn't in the best shape in the 2020s, it also wasn't in ideal shape in 1976 or over 50 yrs ago either. Example: The Tinker toy parking lot sat at 1st St & Grand since the late 1960s & was still there until as recently as late 2018...
