^ It sure is. This is just a small piece in a larger whole that is Hudson River Park. The greatest resource the city has for it's residents and visitors is its waterfront, which is endless. It's great that over the last few decades, the waterfront has been being reclaimed from industrial use, and turned over to "the people". There are constantly new spaces re-opening, and in every borough.

Just below this site will be the Gansevoort Peninsula, which will feature more open and recreational space in it's design...
