A branch of the LINE Hotel, the chic boutique hotel chain that operates in LA, DC, and Austin, is coming to San Francisco at 950 Market Street. The Chronicle reports that Sydell Group, which manages other trendy hotel brands the NoMad and the Freehand, has signed on to a major forthcoming housing and hotel project from developer Group I. That development is already a decade in the making at 950-974 Market Street, and it’s now scheduled to arrive in fall 2020.
Bjarke Ingels Group and Handel Architects, which designed the building, are behind the 236-room hotel design. The LINE will include a ground-level bar and restaurant plus a nightclub and a rooftop bar.
