The Under Armour store downtown is closing....
Downtown Detroit's Under Armour store to close permanently
Quote:
The Under Armour Brand House closure will put a hole in the lower Woodward Avenue corridor's street-level retail scene, which has attracted big names including Nike Inc. — its main competitor — Lululemon, Warby Parker, H&M, Madewell and others in recent years.
Under Armour opened in about 17,000 square feet in the basement, first and second floors of Dan Gilbert's former Kresge building at 1201 Woodward Ave. in spring 2017, across from what is now the under-construction mixed-use development on the former site of the J.L. Hudson's department store.
